The YETI Rambler 12 oz Bottle with HotShot Cap is the stainless steel drinkware you need for your outdoor adventures. The bottle keeps ice-cold for up to 40 hours and will pour hot liquids without any condensation outside your glass.
If you’re a coffee addict, the YETI Rambler 12 oz Bottle with HotShot Cap is for you. Of course, you may use it for other non-carbonated liquids like water, tea, or lemonade, but this bottle excels as a portable coffee cup.
Next to the French Press is a Yeti Rambler 12oz bottle with a HotShot cap. We’ve been trying the 12oz YETI Rambler for about a month and have quickly abandoned standard coffee cups. So all we need is a Rambler with a HotShot Cap.
Usage & Features
Where have you been if you haven’t heard about YETI? A few years ago, the firm built a reputation with almost durable coolers that are excellent at temperature regulation. It’s no wonder. Therefore, YETI’s stainless steel double-wall vacuum insulated bottles excel at keeping hot things hot and cold things cold.
12oz Yeti Rambler Bottle with HotShot Cap. Fill the cup with hot coffee and walk through the streets of Detroit during the frigid winter months, and the coffee will remain hot. Fill the mug with iced tea and leave it in a burning vehicle in Miami during the summer to keep it chilled for hours. Plus, when filled with hot drinks, the bottle never becomes too hot to grasp, and when filled with cold beverages, it never sweats.
The Rambler bottles are also exceptionally robust due to their stainless steel construction. So even if you’re the most clumsy person on the planet, this bottle should be able to handle it.
However, indestructibility and insulation come at a cost… That’s merely a theatrical way of expressing how big the bottle is. The 12oz Rambler weighs 16oz (1lb) when empty. That’s OK if you’re going to take it from home to work to coffee shops and back, but it’s not ideal for one-bag travel when every ounce matters.
The YETI Rambler we’re looking at today has a 12oz internal capacity, which isn’t perfect for water. We usually want more than 12 ounces of water when we’re out and about. If you’re searching for a YETI water bottle, one of the bigger sizes—18oz, 26oz, or 36oz—is a good choice. (However, keep in mind that 36 ounces are a lot of liquid.)
Another fantastic “feature” of the YETI 12oz Rambler is that it comes in several colorways—eight to be exact—at this review. As a result, you’ll be able to pick a hue that appeals to you.
All of those advantages are nice and all, but the HotShot Cap is the major reason we like this bottle. It really distinguishes the YETI Rambler from the competition.
With HotShot Cap Caps, Yeti Rambler 12oz Bottle because most of YETI’s caps are interchangeable, you may swap out the HotShot Cap for one of the other alternatives, such as the MagDock Cap or Chug Cap, if necessary. However, we doubt you’d ever want to. If you drink a lot of coffee or tea, the HotShot Cap is a good option for a bigger Rambler.
The HotShot Cap screws onto the bottle normally, but once in place, the central section may be unscrewed. If you want to take a huge sip of anything or if you want your blazing hot coffee to drop down to a drinkable temperature, you may unscrew the center all the way.
You can also give it a half-turn to lock it in an open position that’s perfect for drinking, similar to how classic coffee cup lids work. Unlike those lids, though, you can take a drink from any angle. You do not need to look for the opening. It may seem little, but you won’t want to go back once you’ve tried the HotShot Cap (trust us).
When you shut the lid, everything is sealed. You may throw it in your backpack without fear of spillage. When the lid is closed, the temperature is locked in for hours. We’ve discovered that our coffee stays hot for the whole day. We don’t want it to remain hot for the whole day—coffee is designed to be consumed—so we like the fact that it will cool when the lid is removed.
The HotShot Cap, unlike some of the other YETI lids, does not feature a handle to connect it to bags or for convenient carrying. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s worth noting.
Testing & Durability
We’ve been using the YETI Rambler 12oz Bottle with HotShot Cap nearly entirely for coffee for the last month. It’s ideal for taking in the vehicle, at our workplaces, or when wandering through the streets of any city.
It is, as previously said, highly durable. There are no dents, scrapes, or corrosion on our vehicle. It’s also dishwasher-safe. So, if that old coffee scent takes over, we can chuck it in there for a fresh start.
