Nomader is a collapsible water bottle that can be folded up and carried in your pocket or bag. It has a leakproof design, so it’s great for traveling.

The nomader water bottle is a collapsible, reusable water bottle that’s made of stainless steel. It has a wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning, and comes in three colors.

The Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle is a great option for flight travel and other occasions. You may wish to keep this bottle with you “nomader what” because of its adaptability and other benefits. (Did you catch what we did there?) To put it another way, we’ve been enjoying our usage of this collapsible water bottle so far, but we’ve also discovered a number of flaws. Let’s get into the specifics.

Aesthetics & Materials

Food-grade BPA-free silicone rubber, food-grade BPA-free polypropylene plastic, and polyester make up the Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle. Nomader claims that their bottle is constructed of shatterproof silicone, which is a no-brainer given that we can’t think of a single situation in which silicone has been shatterable. In any case, we’ve found these materials to be excellent for a collapsible water bottle that is subjected to heavy use, as ours has been. It’s also worth noting that the silicone is extremely soft to the touch and easy to grasp, which is a great quality.

Although the bottle may carry up to 25 ounces, the capacity indicators only go up to 22 ounces. The markers are a great bonus for those of you who pay careful attention to your hydration levels. For those searching for a rough estimate, this is about the equal of 1.5 pints of beer. However, please do not keep alcohol in this area; you will be sorry. (Unless you like your drink warm.)

We tested the white version, but Nomader provides a variety of hues to keep things interesting if you’re feeling more colorful. Their logo appears on the carry strap and the bottom half of the bottle, keeping things simple—just the way we like it.

A few of tiny warnings are written on the bottom of the bottle, such as to stay away from fires and blades. It seems strange that they need to be tacked on as reminders (“Oh, I completely forgot that I’m not allowed to put my water bottle in the campfire!”), but since they’re etched into the silicone, you’re unlikely to see them. Although this seems to contradict the entire “reminder” concept, we assume Nomader has to include them for legal reasons.

Testing & Durability

So far, the Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle has been a fantastic addition to our trips, although we do have a few small quibbles.

One thing to keep in mind is that you should clean your bottle before using it, as Nomader advises and as we do as well. Simply place the bottle in a pot of boiling water and wait for it to cool.

We’ve observed that our white foldable water bottle has picked up some dirt after being exposed to different settings. We’d go with a deeper hue next time, like black or dark blue, since the white version is a little more visible than we’d hoped for.

Thankfully, a simple soapy wash removes the grime on the outside. Despite Nomader’s approval of dishwasher use, we’ve discovered that hand cleaning is much more effective. Since a result, we HIGHLY suggest cleaning the inside with a brush, as debris may build up within without you even noticing it. We’ve been fairly good about cleaning ours on a daily basis, but after a few of days, we noticed a little of dirt buildup on the inside. People, make sure your bottles are clean!

The ergonomic carry strap is perhaps our favorite element of the whole collapsible water bottle (which isn’t at all debatable since we’ve been enjoying this feature). The strap has come in handy for balancing several things, juggling items, and attaching onto the outside of our packs for quick access while hiking or strolling about the city. Keep in mind that when the bottle is folded up, the carry strap doubles as a compression strap.

We’ve found that the 25-ounce capacity is just enough for keeping hydrated on typical treks and flights. We’ve seldom been in a scenario when we needed more than 25 ounces of water, and you’ll almost always be able to replenish it before you finish it. Simply locate a nearby water fountain and refill as needed! Using this foldable water bottle also helps to keep plastic water bottles out of landfills, which gets an extra thumbs up from us!

Despite the fact that collapsibility is arguably its most prominent feature—hence the name—we haven’t used it much until we’re going to the airport. Rolling the bottle up has a lot of advantages, especially whether traveling by plane or packing your luggage. Then the feature comes into its own! This foldable water bottle is all about convenience when it comes to packing. Although, when it comes to “easy,” we wouldn’t claim rolling this thing up for the first time is a breeze. We had to look at the instructions the first time, but after that it was quite simple. Just remember (if it wasn’t obvious before) that the water bottle must be totally empty in order to roll up. Once the bottle is empty, line up the hard plastic sleeve slot with the carry strap, slide up the sleeve until the bottom reaches the top of the silicone body, roll up the bottle beginning at the bottom, wrap the strap around the rolled up bottle, and latch the carry strap clip to the plastic latch.

The label of Nomader’s bottle makes a big claim: “leakproof guaranteed.” Normally, we’d be suspicious, but there hasn’t been a single leak yet. You can see how it holds up over time in our use timeline at the conclusion of this review, but based on our testing so far, we believe it will be OK. The innovative screw top and lid design performs an excellent job of keeping your water in the bottle at all times.

One feature we truly wish this bottle had is insulation, which may be tough to include into a foldable container. Nomader claims that this device can hold both hot and cold drinks, however silicone and steaming coffee don’t appear to combine well in our opinion. Thank you very much, but we’ll stick to our water and ice cubes. Furthermore, the lack of insulation has forced us to forego our cold drinks in favor of portability. Is it worthwhile? It’s a difficult decision, but we’ll put it aside for now.

If the absence of insulation results in a less-than-delicious lukewarm beverage, the bottle’s wide opening is ideal for adding ice cubes anytime you need a boost.

Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle ScratchesScratches on the Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle

Our bottle’s screw cap top has a few dents and the plastic sleeve has quite a few scuffs from use. We don’t care for the appearance, but we’re prepared to make an exception for the characteristics we do like. Aside from the dents and scrapes, the strap seems to have some loose threading, which isn’t ideal but worth sacrificing for the other excellent features.

Did we mention that Nomader comes with a Lifetime Warranty? Yes, it’s a lifetime. You must register for warranty benefits, and we haven’t had the opportunity to do so.

Nomader has created a collapsible water bottle that is perfect for the on-the-go person. This water bottle can be folded down to fit in your pocket or purse, but when you need it, it opens up to hold 16 ounces of liquid. Reference: que collapsible water bottle.
