The PackTowl Personal Towel is a new creation by the company that makes my favorite towel, which I have used exclusively for over 20 years. This comes advised with an ergonomic design and outstanding performance as one of the most durable towels available today.

A travel towel may seem to be an oxymoron to some. Isn’t it something that the hotel or rental can provide? On the other hand, it may be a lifesaver for some who are more daring, particularly traveling or moving from hostel to host family. In West Virginia, PackTowl is a personal towel.

The Packtowl Personal towel is a terrific lightweight, quick-drying solution that we tried. It’s useful for various occasions, such as traveling to the beach, setting up a picnic mid-hike, or drying off after a quick shower.

You may also use it to speed up the drying process of your garments. Roll damp clothes in the towel to absorb some of the extra water (thank you). Now it’s time to get down to business.

Packtowl Personal inside of its mesh casePersonal Packtowl inside its mesh case The Packtowl Personal Towel is available in various sizes (think washcloth to XXL towels). We went with the XL, which is about the same size as a regular beach blanket. It folds down to fit inside its 5.5” x 8.25” x 1.5” bag and only weighs 6.9 ounces when dry. For a towel, it’s not bad.

The material is 85 percent polyester and 15 percent nylon, and it can hold up to four times its weight in water, according to PackTowl. It’s also quite easy to wring out. According to their website, it dries 70% quicker than cotton towels, which seems accurate. Of course, drying time is always dependent on the temperature. In the Arizona desert, it will dry faster than it would in Bali during the wet season.

Another advantage of this antimicrobial towel is woven with Polygiene® and odor control. So what exactly does it imply? It implies that your feces will not stink. Or, at the very least, this towel will take longer to smell than others.

As previously stated, this comes with a half-mesh zippered carrying case for enhanced ventilation. The pouch’s only flaw is a tad on the small side. We’ve discovered that folding the towel into thirds first. Then halves are the most efficient approach to get it to fit properly. The bag has a carabiner clasp that seems a little flimsy. However, it performs the job since it doesn’t have to support a lot of weight.

Packtowl built in hanging loopPacktowl has a built-in hanging loop. This towel includes a built-in loop for hanging, which is a small plus. This is far more useful than you may expect. If you need to move but your towel is still wet, tie it to your bag (depending on its size) and let it float in the breeze. Brilliant.
