If there’s anything that people will find on this device first, it will probably be the new features that come with it. Phone manufacturers are known for their truly unpredictable changes in new devices, and I’m not surprised what happened to the Tecno Camon 11 PRO. The Camon X PRO is equipped with an improved 24-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera, while the all-new Camon 11 PRO is equipped with a 24-megapixel front camera and dual 18 and 5-megapixel rear camera.
The camera at the front is equipped with an LED flash and the camera at the back with a four-millimeter flash.
The Camon X PRO’s camera has been criticized for its low-light performance. I have personally written a review about the awful aspect of the front camera. This is clearly one of the things the company will fix. The Tecno Camon X PRO has probably the worst camera of the Camon series I have ever used.
Memory update
I expected an update of the ROM, and Tecno was not mistaken in the Tecno Camon 11 PRO. We may need 64 GB of internal storage and an additional 6 GB of RAM. This is probably the biggest update that Tecno will bring to the device, and I already love this smartphone.
So let’s keep it at the 64 GB, which I personally love.
Display
What about the display? The Tecno Camon 11 Pro is equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen. The screen has a 19:9 aspect ratio, and the ratio between screen and body is 87.5%. Tecno’s miniature frames, which tend to cut themselves, are small enough for the front camera, the loudspeaker grille, and the proximity sensors.
The iPhone X seems to get the most out of its screen. I hate to say that if a phone wasn’t equipped with this feature, I would really think Tecno is 4 years behind in the tech room.
Better security
We can always expect the identification to remain, but it will improve. The Camon X PRO Face ID was one of the camera’s special features, so Tecno will probably keep it on the Camon 11 PRO. Again, it should be improved, but I don’t care; the Camon X PRO works fine.
The fingerprint sensor of the Tecno Camon X PRO has not always been cool. There was a delay of 3 to 4 seconds when trying to unlock the device. It wasn’t a month or two later; it was basically from the first day I got the camera, so the company has to work on that with the Camon 11 PRO and the following cameras.
Operating System
Android Pie 9.0 has been released, so if the Tecno Camon 11 PRO has an operating system, Android 9.0 would be great. I’m showing some of the features that would make Android 9.0 a great addition to a recently released device, and because of this particular setback, I think Tecno just needs to spend more time planning smartphone releases.
Users don’t mind waiting for you to release the devices they want, but releasing two devices in one year without an operating system update is an update I probably won’t do. Android 8.1 has great features, and for someone too attached to something after it’s hung up, Android 8.1 is something I would really miss, but I think it’s time to move on to Android 10 and the Tecno Camon 11 PRO fails at that point.
