Turning my house into a smart home is one of the best things I’ve ever done. It is not only cool but also very comfortable and useful. However, one of the cheapest ways to create a smart home is to buy a wireless wall socket. I’ve had a Gosund WiFi mini-socket in my hand for a couple of weeks now, and it’s amazing!
Those of you who think a smart house is for the lazy, of course, haven’t tried it yet. The goal is not just to stay in bed and never get up but to be comfortable and efficient. I will talk later in this article about how I used these outlets and how a smart home can change your life.
I used the Sonoff Smart Switch because of its very affordable price and compact design. However, the disadvantage is that you have to split the wires and destroy the device’s original design to which you attach it. In addition, you must repeat the procedure after replacing the device.
None of these problems exist in a Smart Outlet. Gosund’s mini WiFi connection is clean for connecting and playing. It is plugged into a wall outlet and serves as an adapter for your device.
Gosund’s mini-Wifi output
The Gosund Mini WiFi Outlet is a premium, snow-white, intelligent outlet connected to a wireless network and controlled via WiFi. It measures 1.8×1.2×1.2 inches and weighs 8.8 ounces.
There is a 3-pin socket in front of the appliance. You will be able to connect devices equipped with grounding prong plugs, such as laptops, aerosols, and other heavy electronic devices.
How it Works
Gosund’s mini WiFi plug is very easy to use. You first need to download an application called Smart Life. Then, you can view it in the Playstore or Google App Store. You can even scan the QR code in the product package itself for faster searches.
Once the application is installed, simply plug in the Gosund mini-Wifi connection and connect to the Internet. Next, press and hold the switch on the side of the unit until it flashes.
Then open the application and click on the Add Device button. The application finds the WiFi connection and starts the connection to your WiFi. Once the installation is complete, the radio plug is fully operational.
Best Ways To Use Gosund
For the first time, I got carried away by the idea of a smart house just because of the air conditioning. I like the idea that I can control the air conditioning even when I’m not home. For example, my wife and I are at a dinner party, and I’m home late. I’d rather go home to a cool room than a warm one.
I use Alexa at home. Yelling at Alex to turn on the air conditioning is nice, but that’s not all. I can watch every time the nanny turns on the air conditioning for my baby. I can also turn them off if I find them useless and overloaded.
The timer function is also amazing. You can set the schedule for turning the air conditioner on and off. Just like me, I turn on the air conditioning every day at 10 p.m. and off again at 6 a.m. Whatever you do in the meantime, the settings of the existing program will not change.
Connecting your TV to a smart power outlet can be very convenient and useful. For example, I’ve connected a Chromecast to a TV to move around on the TV without touching a remote control (which is often lost).
But what really helps me is the timer function of Gosund’s mini WiFi plug. Have you ever watched the Netflix series and couldn’t stop? Then you realize it’s one o’clock in the morning, and you get up early. If you set the timer on your TV, you will stop watching at some point, and you will be able to live a healthier life.
If you’re in control, you can also just shout at Alexa or Google to turn the TV off and never get up again.
If you can control a lamp remotely, it’s amazing. If you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and need good lighting, you can just say Alexa or Google without blindly scratching the counter.
Often the lights stay on as well. You often forget whether you’ve turned off the lamp when you leave the house. Plugging the plug into a smart socket solves this problem because the plug can remain in the socket and remove the plug remotely.

The mini WiFi plug from Gosund works perfectly during my tests. It has a stable connection, which is necessary for intellectual pedestals. The response time is good, and the work is done when you use the phone to check it.
However, when it comes to the home of Google and Alexa, sometimes they can’t find their way around. I don’t know if it’s Google’s fault or Alex’s or Socket’s. But sometimes, it takes two attempts before an outlet answers, and an assistant can reach it.
The application is very easy to use. I had no problem using it as a beginner. I highly recommend this product, especially because of its price. Check the output power of the unit. The Gosund mini WiFi plug has a very low maximum power rating and may fail if you exceed the maximum power rating. You can buy Gosund’s mini WiFi store on Amazon.com.
